Natasha Rouse

Born and raised on the tiny island of Barbados in the Caribbean, Natasha Rouse spent her childhood surrounded by music and dance. In Barbados, Natasha trained in Ballet, Jazz and International Standard & Latin, while her ears, body and heart were nurtured by the Afro-Caribbean rhythms around her. When she moved to Washington DC, Natasha continued training in competitive ballroom styles but expanded into social dances where she was able to hear music that reminded her of home.

Natasha is an enthusiastic advocate for robust dance education, and currently travels to take workshops & intensives - and to social dance - in Kizomba, Bachata & Salsa. She is eager to share her love of Afro rhythms with the Cleveland community - especially through Kizomba music & dance.

Outside of dance, Natasha is pursuing her Ph.D. at Case Western Reserve University and is an avid lover of anime and tabletop role-playing games.
