Tanya Dimitrova is currently a Ballroom, Latin and Salsa Dance Instructor at Viva
Dance Studio in Strongsville, OH. She has been teaching Ballroom Dancing for three
years. Tanya teaches people of all ages ranging from 7 to 70! She moved to the United
States in 1998 from Bourgas, Bulgaria where she competed in International Style
Latin and Ballroom Dance since the age of seven. When she moved to the United States,
she competed in the same two dance styles with her coach Jean Paul Gronek at the
Northcoast Ballroom Competition in Cleveland, OH. Tanya placed first in all of her
dances. She is currently being trained by him as well as Rebecca Sweet and Christiano
Callegari. Tanya is aspiring to compete professionally with her dance partner as
well as pro-am with her students in the upcoming years. Teaching is a great part
of her life because she loves people, and she believes that the gift of dance can
touch people?s lives in many ways, just like it has been an essential part of hers.
Tanya also performs in dance shows and pretty much dances and shares the gift of
dance anywhere she gets a chance to: in the nursing home where she works full time
as a STNA, at home where she is a full time mom, as well as at Baldwin Wallace College
where she is a full time student studying pre-med. Tanya is very busy but always
finds time for her greatest love, the love of dancing!
